Holle Formula Preparation Instructions

Introduction

For new mothers, baby formula preparation may seem quite a challenge, as is the shift from breastfeeding to bottle feeding.

Fortunately, there’s Holle organic baby formula milk, a safer alternative to the usual mass produced milk. Holle baby formula preparation is easy to follow, as shown in the 6 steps below.

Holle organic infant milk formula is sourced from cows raised in Demeter-certified (read: biodynamic) farms, which meets strict European standards. But even with this guide, it’s recommended that you start by asking your doctor and/or pediatrician what best formula can be given to your baby.

Preparing Formula with Boiled Water

So long as the pediatrician is OK with boiled water for formula milk and utensils, you can:

1. Sterilize the bottle, nipple, and other equipment needed for milk preparation. Follow the manufacturer’s instruction carefully. Bring water to a 100-degree boil for one minute, turn off the heat, and let the water cool for half an hour.
2. Pour the approx. amount of water into the sterilized bottle.
3. Add the indicated numbers of scoop of Holle baby formula milk powder. One scoop equals an ounce of water. Keep the amount of powder at a moderate level.
4. Place the sterilized nipple and shake the bottle well until all powder has been dissolved.
5. Let the bottle cool to drinking temperature by holding it under running tap water for less than a minute.
6. Test the temperature of the milk before you feed your baby.

Other Information for Preparing Infant Formula

• Make sure your drinking water is safe before you prepare the formula. Check for harmful substances if you are using tap water.
• Filtered water is not a better substitute to boiled water. As much as possible, always use boiled water for your formula milk.
• Do not prepare formula milk when one bottle has not been consumed. While this saves preparation time, it risks the milk getting spoiled because of the hot temperature. That said, prepare milk only when necessary; don’t stock up on ready-to-drink milk bottles.
• Strictly follow scoop instructions and the 6-step formula milk preparation.
• Discard leftover formula milk after an hour.
• Don’t reheat the milk in a microwave oven. Always prepare a new bottle of milk each time.

Care Instructions

• Keep the milk away from extreme temperature.
• Use the opened packet within 2 weeks.
• Store the milk powder in a secure glass or stainless steel container.
• Be mindful of the expiration date indicated on the box/packet.
