LOULOUKA UNDERSTANDS THAT A BABY’S NUTRITIONAL NEEDS ARE COMPLEX. WHEN EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING IS NO LONGER AN OPTION, PARENTS WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT A BABY CAN CONSUME THE BEST THAT COMES FROM NATURE. THOUGH LOULOUKA HAS A SHORTER HISTORY IN THE WORLD OF EUROPEAN ORGANIC BABY FORMULA, IT FOCUSES ON HIGH STANDARDS IN FOOD QUALITY WITH A LIMITED IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
WHERE IS LOULOUKA FORMULA FROM?
Loulouka formula uses locally sourced ingredients including organic whole cow milk from Switzerland. Since it is a product made in Europe, it must meet the organic standards of the European Union. EU standards are known to be more strict than the organic standards of the USDA in the U.S.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LOULOUKA FORMULA?
Loulouka promises to nourish babies with the best organic ingredients and choose the best milk sources because it was created by parents. They understand that there are some ingredients that some parents would rather not feed their baby, so they strive to make something better. One way they do that is by starting with organic ingredients from Swiss farms that prohibit any artificial pesticides or herbicides. Better agriculture practices are better for the environment as well as the foods they grow. Milk quality is also a priority. Switzerland is known for its milk. This is due in part to the use of large percentages of natural grass and hay in the cow feed.
Loulouka’s benefits are not just in the organically-produced ingredients, but the specific ingredients used. Typically baby formulas use palm oil as a fat source. While palm oil and the other oils used in baby formula mimic the fat found in breast milk, palm oil in particular may lower fat and calcium absorption. This can affect bone density. During a baby’s crucial developmental stages, Loulouka uses organic coconut oil for better absorption.
Another difference between Loulouka and other baby formulas is the use of sunflower lecithin. Lecithin is an emulsifier that is a good source of choline and essential fatty acids. Choline supports cell membrane structures, fat transport and metabolism, and a healthy nervous system. When many manufacturers use lecithin, they opt for one that comes from soy products. The process of extracting sunflower lecithin does not require chemicals which also results in a higher quality product.
Loulouka also benefits the environment through eco-friendly production. The company does this by recycling waste water, waste heat, and CO2 emissions.
WHAT ARE THE STAGES OF LOULOUKA FORMULA?
Loulouka organic formula is available in three stages:

Stage 2 (800g) -from 6 to 12 months
Stage 3 (800g) - from 12 months on
